EV Type-A School Bus Concept Vision

The new experimental approach to the experience of using and operating a compact-sized Type-A School Bus with a passenger capacity of up to 20. Today’s technologies allow us to design and build safe, innovative, and advanced vehicles. This design vision is the answer to the common issues present in today's school buses based on the passenger van conversions.

Design: It has an electric powertrain with inductive charging technology. Thanks to its rigid platform with a battery pack located in the floor, the bus is safe and durable. The low floor design enables convenient access for wheelchairs and small children.

Advanced external & internal digital screen on glass technology improves visibility and provides important information without taking up extra space.

It is autonomous-ready and always connected. The School Bus status & location are always accessible on the app.

The bus is based on a modular platform, and it is shared with the delivery van. The compact size makes it easier to use in highly populated urban locations.

Styling: Minimalist aesthetics depict simplicity, purity, technological advancement, and friendliness.

Illustration of a smart school bus system. The image describes six features: 1) A school bus app for tracking location and availability. 2) Enhanced visibility on the bus's destination board. 3) Proximity sensors with automatic door opening and greetings. 4) Wheelchair-accessible ramp. 5) LED stop signs and holographic warnings for safety. 6) Inductive charging and solar panels on bus roof.

The concept

Concept sketches of an autonomous school bus with yellow and black design, showing various views, including interior and exterior details, with silhouettes of children and a person in a wheelchair using a ramp for accessibility.

The design

Concept design of futuristic vehicle, showing side and rear views, with transparent illustrations revealing interior seating layout.
Concept design of a modern school bus featuring a low floor, wide sliding doors, and roof photovoltaic glass for power. Accessibility features include ramps for wheelchairs. Innovative screen technology replaces traditional signage.
A modern, yellow school bus with accessibility features is parked in a suburban neighborhood. The bus has LED displays showing 'SCHOOL BUS' and 'DO NOT PASS.' A ramp is extended for wheelchair access, and silhouettes of two individuals, one in a wheelchair and one walking, are depicted.
